Toby Porter

Former Save The Children and Oxfam Executive


Toby Porter is a leading figure in the NGO community, having dedicated his entire career to humanitiarian and development assistance. He worked with Save the Children for 10 years as their Global Emergencies Director and their Director of Programmes for Save the Children India. Five years before that, Toby led Oxfam's response to the Kosovo crisis in 1999. He later joined HelpAge International, a global network of organisations working to help older women and men claim their rights, challenge discrimination and overcome poverty in older age.

Toby was a global civil society representative at the Annual Meeting in Davos of the World Economic Forum in 2014, 2015, and 2016. Toby is an Oxford alumnus and has since become a Common Room Member of Green Templeton College. Toby is now Chief Executive of Acorns Children's Hospice Trust.
