The Human Welfare Conference is a student-led, interdisciplinary initiative, which is at the heart of Green Templeton College's endeavours to seek solutions to 21st Century social challenges.  Over the two-day event, it invites students and academics to engage with the issues facing an ever-changing global setting, and provides a platfrom for constructive thought and debate. The Conference was founded by Paul Kadetz and was subsequently developed into an annual event by Charles Laurie. It has since established itself as a thriving and innovative project, seeking to address a new theme each year, and broadening the scope through which we address and understand human issues. This year's theme is Reinventing Empowerment in the 21st Century.

Previous conferences addressed Inequalities (2015); and Human Welfare in Conflict (2014).
